Winter through Spring 2002 Labyrinth Walk and Taize Prayer Service Monday, December 31, 7:00PM-10:00PM, Trinity Church Parish Hall. Say farewell to the Old Year and begin the New with a journey to the Center. Walk the Labyrinth in silence from 7:00-8:00, or as part of a chanted Taize prayer service from 8:00-10:00. Art of a Spiritual Journey Saturday, January 12, 10:00AM-3:00PM, Trinity Church Fellowship Hall. (Use basement entrance.) A sequence of visual explorations into meaning and solidarity. Open to, or deepen, your capacity to express your inner life through centering rituals, use of basic art media, and sharing in a supportive community environment. No art talent is necessary. Prayers for Peace Tuesday, February 12; 6:30 pm, Trinity Chapel. We join together for an hour of prayers for peace. Pray for the peace of the world, of the nation, of friends and family, of those in need. People who are unable to attend in person are invited to join us in a Virtual Vigil for this hour from their own homes. Into the Darkness: A Lenten Quiet Day Saturday, March 2, 10:00AM-3:00PM, Trinity Church. Even saints have times of depression and despair. This day considers how we encounter God even in the dark times. Bring a bag lunch. Facilitator: Laura Howell. Donation: $5.00. (Scholarship requests welcome) Tending the Dream Friday, April 12, 9:30AM-2:30PM, Moravian Theological Seminary. The Center is co-sponsoring this event with the Office of Continuing Education, Moravian Seminary. This presentation offers a framework to facilitate the interpretation of dream images and explores the hidden personal symbols, offering an effective tool for ongoing prayerful dreamwork. Facilitator: Patricia Ann Dwyer, Ridgefield, Connecticut., a trained spiritual director and supervisor. Donation: $45.00. An Introduction to Spiritual Direction Friday, April 19, 6:00PM to Saturday, April 20, 11:00AM, St. Francis Retreat House, Easton, PA. An overnight retreat that would introduce participants to a contemplative way of "being" in relationship with God, oneself, others and the world; learning to listen for the heartbeat of God in all of life and learning to live in rhythm with that heartbeat. The retreat is designed to introduce participants to the practice of Spiritual Direction with the hope that some would desire to move into the practice of Spiritual Direction with a director, in a group setting, or both. The retreat begins Friday, 6:00 p.m. with dinner and ends Saturday, 11:00 a.m. Limited to 16 retreatants. Facilitators: Emily Wallace and Peter Skelly. Donation: $55.00. (Scholarship requests welcome) Exploring Spiritual Paths - Using Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Mondays, April 15, 22, 29, 7:00 - 9:00 PM, The Saal - Moravian Theological Seminary. Did you ever wonder about finding your spiritual path? Our spiritual preferences will be explored during three sessions through the lens of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. The process of honoring our gifts and differences invite us into the possibility of development and change. Facilitator: Emily Wallace. Donation: $40.00. A Walk in the Woods (at The Graver Arboretum) Saturday, May 11, 9:00AM to 2:00PM, Meet at Trinity Church Parking Lot. Join us as we greet the warming earth at The Lee and Virginia Graver Arboretum of Muhlenburg College. The address is: 1597 Bushkill Center Road, Bath, PA. We will meet at the Trinity Church parking lot and drive in caravan for those who don't know the location. 150 species of conifers, other varieties of trees and over 250 wildflowers have been found and are identified on a seasonal basis. A gentle, level path winds through the woodland. Bring field glasses for birding, journal, any art supplies, and a brown bag lunch. You are welcome to come even without art supplies.
